About Ruth

For the last 44 years I have been working as an RN, the first 43 years in hospitals, the last 1. 5 years has been at medical or urgent care clinics. 40 years of my nursing career was in maternal/child, mainly @ Ocean Springs Hospital. I got into nursing to work in that field and loved it!! Babies, mamas, families, I love them all, and had many beautiful experiences caring for them! As a young girl, starting at about 14, I had many babysitting jobs, and those led to more babysitting jobs that included staying with the teenaged kids over the weekend occasionally. I think the parents enjoyed me partly because I would clean their house while the kids were occupied and didn't need me at the time. I have a 3-year-old grandson who is frequently with me part of the weekend and spends the night here with me. I spend a ton of time with him! I always say he's easy and he doesn't need much, he just wants everything I've got! And I give it to him, because he's sweet and delightful!
