About Ruby

I'm a patient, creative tutor with experience supporting learners of diverse needs, including students in special education. I offer art tutoring as well as individualized academic and emotional support, with a focus on building confidence, engagement, and a positive relationship to learning. My approach is flexible and attuned--I meet each student where they're at and adapt to their unique learning style, pace, and interests. In art tutoring, I encourage creativity, self-expression, and skill-building in a supportive, low-pressure environment. I'm currently in graduate school for social work, which informs my work through empathy, communication, and an understanding of diverse developmental and emotional needs. I aim to create a calm, encouraging space where students feel safe to explore, learn, and grow.
