About Rose

I just moved to Boulder from Vermont to begin a grad program in ceramics at CU! Ive been babysitting since high school, and for the last year and a half, I've taught toddlers at a Reggio inspired children's center. During that time, I also worked for a family whose children were 11 and 5. I genuinely love kids, and feel comfortable with various ages. Working at the children's center, I learned a lot from the Reggio inspired approach: I meet children with empathy and generosity and see them as capable individuals with the skills to lead their experience in the world. I also believe that setting clear boundaries creates a structure for their exploration to thrive. I love working with kids because it encourages me to engage with the world with more awe, curiosity, and play. Outside of this work, I am an artist working in ceramics and illustration, so I love to make art with kids in my care! I also love playing/going on walks outside, reading, music, dancing, and cooking!
