About Rosa

I am a credentialed elementary school teacher with over 6 years of teaching experience. After earning my master's in Education at Cal, I taught 2nd-grade bilingual Spanish/English. I now hold a reading specialist credential, which equips me with the tools to diagnose reading challenges and provide targeted, research-based interventions. I specialize in reading intervention with students in K-3rd who are working to meet grade level standards. My approach is grounded in the science of reading, designed to build confidence and ignite a love of learning in every student. I believe that learning should be engaging and multisensory, especially for early readers. I incorporate sensory play and interactive reading games into my lessons to make reading accessible and enjoyable, building foundational skills like phonemic awareness, decoding, and comprehension. My goal is to boost confidence and foster a lifelong love of learning in every student.
