About Rita

I worked with Rita for 6 years, from 4th to 10th grade, and throughout that time she was much more than just a tutor. Rita was very helpful and diligent in English/essay writing, math, science, and history, and her tutoring skills are incredibly diverse. We worked on everything from elementary level math and science to much more difficult subjects, including advanced Algebra 2 and Geometry. She not only helped me with daily homework, but also with big projects, test prep, and large assignments. She stayed as long as it took to get the assignment completed. She even kept track of all my grades every semester, regardless of whether she helped with that class or not. She really cares about the wellbeing of her students, beyond just academics. I considered her to be a big mentor in my life. One thing that really stood out to me was how she worked with me beyond the specific subject I was studying. During the earlier years we worked together, she would sometimes make me rewrite something to help with my handwriting, even if we were working on a math assignment. That showed how diverse her tutoring style is, and that she truly puts in effort for each of her students. I know Rita to be a very organized, efficient, and supportive person. We usually worked once a week and our sessions would be so informative; she helped open my eyes to information I wasn’t aware of before. Even after our sessions ended, we both stayed in touch, and she continued to check in and see how I was doing. I am extremely grateful for everything she taught me over those six years, and I would highly recommend her to any student or family looking for a knowledgeable, diligent, and genuinely caring tutor.
