About Riley

Hello! My name is Riley and I'm a passionate, proficient, and dedicated 3rd grade teacher. I'm an Appalachian State Alumni and graduated with Honors in 2023. Aside from my coursework, I worked as a research fellow in reading education as a Literacy Scholar, completing the Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling training. I have a BS in Elementary Education with a focus in English Language Arts. My time in the classroom has allowed me to perfect my skills in adapting my approach to the needs and learning preferences of your child. I'm an adaptive, reflective, and compassionate educator. I'm a firm believer in that very few things are as great as that lightbulb moment! I'm beyond excited to work with your family and help your scholar grow!
