I've been in the medical field for 15 yrs. I started at the University of Louisville Hospital , James Graham Brown Cancer Center in Radiation Oncology. I wasn't able to interact with patients as much and that's when I decided I wanted to do more. I received my CNA in 2009. What an awesome accomplishment!!! Since then, I've worked on a Medical Intensive Care Unit and Epilepsy Unit all under the same organization. Another big accomplishment was working at the VA Medical Center working with our veterans. I also gained a significant amount of experience in Nursing Homes, Home Health and Hospice. I'm currently working in Kailua-Kona, Hawai'I as a travel CNA. What an amazing experience 3 months turned into a year. My contract ends 8/31/2024.
