About Skylar

I am a dedicated English and History tutor with a strong academic background and over a decade of experience working with children. I hold a dual degree in International Affairs and Political Science, which gives me a deep understanding of history, reading comprehension, writing, and critical thinking skills across grade levels. Throughout my educational career, I served as a teacher's aide, gaining hands-on classroom experience and learning how to support diverse learning styles. In addition, I have spent more than 10 years working as a nanny, where tutoring and academic support for elementary-aged students were a consistent part of my role. This long-term experience has allowed me to build patience, adaptability, and strong relationships with both students and families.
