My name is Reginald, a recent UNC graduate holding a PhD in Cell Biology and Physiology, with an emphasis on neuroscience. As an African American male from the humble streets of the St. Louis metropolitan area, I believe in inclusivity and being a role model from the next generation. I believe every student holds unique potential, and I'm eager to help them achieve their goals with tailored support. My approach focuses on building confidence and a genuine love for learning. I use engaging examples to help students associate emotion with the topic, fostering better retention and enjoyment. To assess a student's learning style, I ask questions about their interests, challenges, and what excites them. I then adapt my teaching to incorporate their passions and address difficulties through a unique lens. I keep students motivated by connecting challenging topics to real-world examples or their personal interests, breaking down complex problems into manageable steps.
