Most of my experience with "caretaking" as a trade has been incremental. Some have been compensated and others have been voluntary or lifestyle oriented. I have spent many hours with children through after school programs and summer camps. I have helped those who are sick and dying and have limited use of their bodies. I have been hired for light cleaning duties and transportation services for those who are aging and simply need companionship.
