About Rebecca

I am a 25-year-old college graduate with my own means of reliable transportation and a strong love for children. All my life I have grown up being the neighborhood babysitter or summer nanny. In 2017 I graduated from James Madison University with a BS in interdisciplinary liberal studies and a minor in elementary education. From there I went on to nanny for 2 years and then became a para-educator. When my para contract was up I accepted a position as a co lead threes teacher at a preschool in Darnestown Maryland where I taught for the '19-'20 school year. During the school year we were able to successfully transition into distance learning where my class had the highest retention rate. Going into this next school year I am looking to take on a teaching pod in place of going back to school, where I will assist 2-4 students navigate online learning or homeschooling through ensuring students stay on task, engaged, and assisting with assignments through active learning activities.
