About Rebecca

I have 8 years experience teaching middle grades math as well as 4 years of private tutoring. In addition, I have one year experience as an outdoor educator for school age children - teaching outdoor science classes and facilitating challenge experiences. I have spent 7 summers investing in youth as a camp counselor for students in 3-12 grade, adventure trip guide for middle school and high school students, and during my time in college I was a youth group leader for junior high students at various churches. I also served as a volunteer tutor at an Urban League tutoring program. I know how to plan fun activities and outings as well as leave space for spontaneous fun moments during the day. Being a middle school teacher, I have a good grasp on behavior management and motivation techniques. I am happy to do light housework and assist with homework while providing childcare.
