About Rebeca

I am a native Spanish speaker with a minor in Spanish from the University of Texas. I have 4 years of experience as a private Spanish tutor to kids ranging from kindergarten through 5th grade, helping them build confidence in their language skills with specialized lessons suited to their developmental level. I believe early exposure to a different language is an incredible and valuable skill for kids! I take a lot of inspiration for my own lesson plans from my mom who is an elementary school teacher that ran a bilingual program alongside the standard core curriculum. My method is to meet the student where they're at and create lessons that complement their school curriculum, helping with retention and familiarity. Sometimes lessons can also be a play date in Spanish! Tutoring can look very different for each student, and I am very open to working with the parent's needs and expectations for the lessons.
