I have been supporting people with IDDs and ASD for 4 years. I truly love the work I do and find it to be extremely rewarding. I'd describe my personality as soothing, personable, and compassionate. I like caring for people with special needs because it is often fun and there are many opportunities for learning and growth. I enjoy taking folks out into the community to try new things. Seeing an individual I've helped learn a task complete that task without my assistance is always a great feeling. Helping people gain independence and foster social lives are big for me. I started caring for people with special needs when a friend of mine made the suggestion that I give it a shot in 2021. In my spare time, I like to go to the gym, roller skate, play music, learn about fashion, cook new recipes, etc. One thing you should know about me is I will treat your loved one as an equal. My skills include cooking healthy meals, finding things to do in the community, and home making skills.
