About Rachel

Hello families! My name is Rachel. I've been working with kids since I was very young! When I was 7 years old I used to play in the front yard with my neighbors son, who was 2 years younger than me and had down syndrome, he was nonverbal and handicapped. I remember understanding about asperger's and down syndrome at a young age, because my younger brother has asperger's and was diagnosed at 13 months. I enjoyed entertaining and making sure my neighbors son had a fun time whenever we would play with his toys in the front yard! As I got a little older, I enjoyed spending a lot of 1 on 1 time with my younger cousins whenever we would visit my relatives in Missouri, I loved developing a strong relationship and getting to know what they're already aware of and know what they like and dislike at their young age.
