Hello! My name is Rachel and I'm your local paramedic, wilderness guide, former daycare teacher, and toddler mom. I have over 10 years experience in childcare ranging from in-home care to daycare & private kindergartens. I started my journey as a toddler teacher at a mainstream daycare but after a few years, I knew I wanted something more personal and MORE OUTDOORS. Since then I've had the awesome privilege of working with various age groups in all sorts of settings. In addition to childcare, I previously volunteered as an emt and fulfilled 2 years of Americorps service. During the covid pandemic I decided to pursue my paramedic certification and I started working in a local Emergency Department (I still work PRN in an ER). Currently, I am raising a sensational toddler and have created in my home a nature-focused childcare area.

As a mom herself, she brings so much warmth, patience, and understanding to the time she spends with my son. What I appreciate most is how engaged she is with him—she reads with him, plays with him, and makes sure he’s having fun while also feeling safe and cared for. It’s clear she genuinely enjoys spending time with kids, and that gives me so much peace of mind. She’s also fantastic with my tween, which says a lot! She has a great way of connecting with kids of different ages and making them feel comfortable. I completely trust Rachel and always feel comfortable leaving my kids in her care.
