About Rachel

I'd describe myself as friendly, empathetic, and patient. I like working with kids because I've always had a natural affinity for working with children and genuinely enjoy helping them learn. Plus, it provides the opportunity for me to meet so many wonderful families. I started working with kids when I was 16 and since then, have cared for children as opportunities arose. In the past, I have supported with meal preparation, transportation, household duties, tutoring, and more. In my spare time, I like to run the trail around Lady Bird Lake, read, practice yoga, garden, and spend time with my friends and family. I am a Texas Longhorn (hook 'em!) and have lived in Austin for 6 years now. I'm originally from Dallas, Texas. My skills include communication, patience, and enthusiasm. I have a degree in communication from The University of Texas at Austin and love encouraging children to grow and cultivate their interpersonal skills.
