About Rachel

I'd describe my personality as caring, understanding, encouraging I like tutoring because it helps students reach their goals and potential! I'm looking for a job that helps others overcome challenges or setbacks. When a student has the courage to ask for help, we need more people to step in and be ready to help students equip with the tools needed to succeed. I started mentoring / academic coaching 9 years ago through an area non-profit organization supporting inner city students (grades 5-12). One thing you should know about me is I value a student giving their best effort and working hard to meet their goals. That doesn't mean making an A+ or 100. Success is different for every student and I'm excited to help in the journey of setting and achieving small goals that lead to success! My skills include listening, troubleshooting/problem solving, encouraging / goal setting.
