About Rachel

My teaching practice is based on patience, communication, and encouragement. With a graduate degree and two years of teaching experience at the college level, I specialize in English, Social Studies, basic Math and Statistics, Test Preparation, and Study Skills for students of any age. I also have more than 30 years of experience playing the trumpet and piano, with college-level training in music theory. I seek to tailor material to individual needs and interests. Difficult concepts are broken into simpler, more manageable pieces to encoirage learning. I prioritize clear, collaborative dialogue with both students and parents to ensure we reach your goals together.
