About Amie

Every student possesses unique potential, and I am passionate about helping them unlock it. For the past three years, I've provided personalized support in Math, English, Special Education, and Study Skills to elementary students. I adapt my teaching through observation, varied strategies, and open communication. My approach focuses on building confidence and a love for learning through real-world connections and positive reinforcement. Communication is essential for understanding student needs and fostering a collaborative environment. I am familiar with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and student accommodation plans (504). I currently work in a self contained elementary classroom with behavior students. I am eager to create an engaging learning experience for your child in their home, a teacher's home, a center, online, at a library, community center, or coffee shop. I have a college degree, a car, and am comfortable with pets.
