About Rachel

I'd describe my personality as cheerful, kind, creative. I like working with kids because they are amazing. I love connecting with them and seeing their brains work out situations and understanding what gets them excited. They ground me and remind me why patience and understanding are so important, and to enjoy life as much as possible. I'm looking for a job where I can help children and their families grow and run smoothly. I started working with kids when I was in middle school by babysitting. Then when in high school I also added summer camp work to the rotation. I have two young children of my own now. In my spare time, I like to hike or take walks in the park, read, craft, cook and bake. I am great with pets, do not smoke or live with smokers, practice kind and patient problem solving with children. My skills include active communication, age appropriate activity planning, managing routines, fostering development and adapting to unpredictable situations.
