About Rachael

My love for teaching started early in life as a swim instructor in high school and a swim and tennis coach in college. I transitioned from sports education to academic tutoring and coaching while I was earning my BA in English Literature from The University of Kentucky. In undergrad, I taught English as a Second Language to refugees, helping place their children in higher performing classes, and parents in stable jobs. I also tutored for the college's student help program for English and History while writing part-time for the college newspaper. Upon graduating from UK, at the top of my class, I was accepted into Johns Hopkins University where I earned two Masters Degrees, one in Economics and the other in Strategic Studies. While in my graduate program, I led an accelerated learning program where I helped fellow students prep for semester end exams in Economics and Financial Literacy courses.
