About Rachael

RJ (they/them) I have 10 years of experience and am looking for part time nanny work between science jobs. Creative play led by children, gentle correction, emotional building, and enthusiastic support of children's interests are my speciality. I have experience with kids from infant to teenage years, and especially love playing with babies. I worked this past year for Keystone Nature Preschool as the lead preschool teacher, leading with music, outdoor exploration, and encouraging children to take risks and grow their social emotional skills in an outdoor environment. I also teach a theater summer camp in Eugene Oregon that encourages creativity and independence, and have been babysitting/nannying regularly for 10 years. I graduated from WWU last winter with a BS in Environmental Science and worked for WSU's Mesoscale Weather program over the summer, so I often include science walks or "wilderness adventures," as some kids have called them, when nannying References upon request.
