About Pilar

I am a speech therapist with 17 years of experience working with children in Colombia and 8 years in the United States. My profession has allowed me to work in different areas of development with children such as speech, language, reading, and writing. I have also worked treating learning difficulties (reading and writing in Spanish), pronunciation, and language development. I worked with children and adults with disabilities and as a preschool teacher for 10 years. In the United States, I've been a teacher's assistant in kindergarten and a nanny for two families. I've cared for newborns and children up to 9 years old. I consider myself a very responsible, fun, caring, creative, and patient person. I speak Spanish and basic English. I would like to find a family interested in their children learning Spanish from a young age as a second language.
