About Pilar

Hi! I'm Pilar, and I've loved swimming for as long as I can remember. I got my first job as a lifeguard at Sandia Pool at age 15 and went on to teach public and private swimming lessons for 10 years throughout high school and college. I'm CPR and First Aid certified and have experience working with swimmers of all ages and abilities. I especially enjoy helping swimmers build confidence and become comfortable in the water. I believe every swimmer learns differently, so I tailor lessons to each student's skills, goals, and pace. I offer private and small-group lessons for up to five children, as well as lessons for adults-from first-time swimmers to those looking to improve their technique and strokes. My goal is to help every student become a confident, capable, and comfortable swimmer.
