About Percy

I am an experienced educator currently working as a Paraprofessional and Substitute Teacher with Jefferson Parish Public School System (JPPSS) and a full-time student at Delgado Community College earning my Associate of Arts in Humanities. I have served as a long-term substitute teacher for 4th and 5th Grade Math and 3rd Grade ELA. In Math, I taught a full fractions unit focused on real-world application and conceptual understanding. In ELA, I supported students in building reading comprehension skills, including identifying character traits and understanding motivation. I have also worked as a Camp Counselor with the New Orleans Recreation Development Commission (NORDC), supporting students ages 7-10 academically and socially. I am familiar with platforms such as Clever, i-Ready, Zearn, and Amira, and I tailor instruction to meet each child's learning style.
