About Penny

Hiya! My name is Penny, and I'm a 19-year-old college student interested in Human Services and care. I've been working with kids with behavioral and developmental disabilities since I was 16, helping them find joy and creativity in themselves, and navigating the inner complexity that comes with it. My father was born with Cerebral Palsy, so I've understood both the meaning of care in someone's life and the importance of individuality and respect since I was very young. I aim to treat everyone with respect, not talking down but hearing out. I admire children's ability to draw up completely unique ideas, absent of the influence of the wider world. There is a spark of creativity that can be fostered in every child, and it honors me to be able to help nurture it.
