About Penny

Penny was my father’s caregiver for four years during his journey with dementia. She began part-time and eventually became his full-time, primary caregiver. Thanks to Penny’s dedication, my dad was able to remain at home far longer than we ever expected. She was incredibly reliable and flexible, and we always knew we could count on her—especially during emergencies, when it was difficult for family to get there quickly since none of us lived nearby. Penny lived close and was always willing to step in and help with anything that was needed. On a daily basis, she made sure my dad’s personal needs were taken care of—helping him shower, get dressed, and maintain good hygiene. She also handled driving him to doctors’ appointments, taking walks, grocery shopping, preparing meals, and even light housekeeping. Most importantly, she provided companionship, and it was clear that my dad really enjoyed her company. The comfort and stability she gave him made a huge difference in his quality of life. We are so grateful for everything Penny did for him and for our family, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate, dependable, and dedicated caregiver.
