About Penny

I'd describe my personality as bubbly, empathetic, and creative. I like working with kids because they have so much to teach me. Kids bring light into the world and remind us "big kids" that imagination is necessary, dreams are worth pursuing, and no idea is too silly to talk about. I've always loved working with little ones and began babysitting family and close friends 9 years ago, as well as being involved in a buddy system in junior high, coaching 2-5-year-olds in baseball and soccer in high school, and have volunteered in elementary and middle schools throughout college. In my spare time, play guitar, hike, spend time with friends, and was the student body president at my college this past year. My skills include inclusion of kids of all ages in games and activities, conflict descaling, and emotional development and communication.
