About Penelope

I've been told that I am inviting, assertive, and thoughtful. I, myself, learn quite a bit from teaching, and would want nothing more than to serve as a positive influence and knowledgeable tutor for others. I possess a solid understanding of what high schools and universities look for in students, but would like to better understand individual nuances with students. As a post-undergraduate student, I want to have a flexible career where I can build relationships with my clients. I started tutoring when I was a teaching assistant for 10th-graders in my 12th-grade humanities class. Aside from my education, I like to make wheel-thrown pottery, play chess, do long hikes, go to hot pilates classes, study airplanes and aviation, and cook. I am very fond of all animals and household pets. I also did speech and debate in university, and therefore am very firm yet kind in my educational instruction. Public speaking, advanced writing, and reading comprehension are my primary skills.
