About Paulina

I'm a certified middle and high school math teacher with a passion for helping students truly understand math, not just memorize it. I taught high school math for 3 years with Teach for America and have over 5 years of experience tutoring math and SAT/ACT test prep. My background teaching in an under-resourced school taught me how to meet students where they are and adapt my instruction to each student's needs. Explaining concepts creatively is my superpower. I specialize in finding the explanation that finally clicks, especially for students who feel stuck or discouraged by math. Outside of teaching, I've worked in private equity fundraising and am currently an MBA student, which allows me to bring structure, strategy, and real-world problem-solving into my tutoring sessions. I'm patient, encouraging, and deeply committed to helping students build confidence, improve scores, and feel proud of their progress.
