About Patricia

I have extensive competencies working with children of all ages and backgrounds; both from previous jobs as a nanny, and from my current place of work at Seattle Children's Hospital for the Psychiatric Behavioral Medicine Unit (PBMU). I was one of two Guideline of Care specialists for the ASD program from 2022 to 2023 before the model of care changed to the current Bio Behavioral Program. I have experience working with special needs children, particularly those diagnosed with ASD, both verbal and nonverbal, as well as aiding with toileting. Most important skills to note are education and experience with child development (language and motor skills). Potty Training, basic sign language (commonly called baby sign language in many caregiver settings) cooking, baking, schedule management. I was also a swim instructor for children and adults for 6+ years. I am currently certified for Basic Life Support.
