I have considerable experience in childcare. With infants I can sense their needs and respond in ways that assures them and keeps them peaceful. I enjoy working with the mother so that baby's care is fluent and steady. I had a warm and nurturing in-home daycare. While the children were with me I ensured that they all felt at home. My home had a large playroom where hours were spent learning, and playing. Recently I have served as a nanny to a lovely family in their home. I had a 3-month-old baby and 2 yr old. I found that while the children napped in the afternoons I had extra time on my hands. I spent this time doing the children's laundry and often cooking the family's dinner. I didn't do heavy housecleaning but I did keep the children's play area and the living room clean. With children I use several techniques that have served me well. Some of these I learned in college and some from experience. I will work closely with parents to follow their techniques and principals.
