About Paloma

Many years ago, I was part of the care team for a wonderful 102-year-old woman who spent most of her time in bed. That experience taught me about medication management, meal prep and feeding someone who can't feed themselves, bathing, changing, dressing, changing sheets and more. Since then, I cared for three of my grandparents in stages of dementia and illness and at the end of their lives. I also helped care for my uncle who had Alzheimer's, which included doctor's appointments, grocery shopping, meal prep and keeping him company. I also helped take care of my stepdad who died of throat cancer. I have been a part of end of life care and the moment of death for 5 of my relatives. While I do not have much formal training, working with elders is very special to me, whether they are very active, dealing with long term illness, or on their way towards death.
