About Olivia

Hello everyone! I am a native Vermonter and graduated from Champlain College in 2017 with a degree in early/elementary education. I am licensed to teach ECE, elementary education and am CPR/First aide certified. I have been teaching in the Burlington area for 7 years. Working at nature based programs in recent years, my teaching philosophy has developed and become focused around nature and play based learning. Yoga and food consciousness have become an important part of my routine and lifestyle. Learning about how movement, breath-work and what we eat impacts our ability to be receptive to learning is a strong passion of mine. I work to incorporate mindfulness and social-emotional learning into my teaching, to model to my students ways to regulate when experiencing big emotions. I have decided to explore working through a platform like Care, to give more freedom and flexibility to incorporate my teaching style in a more focused one on one setting.
