Hi, my name is Olivia! I've been working with children with special needs for a few years now, and it's something I'm really passionate about. During the day, I'm a paraeducator in a 1st-3rd grade classroom. I support students by helping them stay on task, adapting lessons to fit their needs, managing behaviors, assisting with toileting and diaper changes, and working closely with teachers and specialists to make sure each child gets the support they need. In the evenings, I work as an in-home behavior technician. In that role, I run behavior intervention programs, track progress, and help kids build everyday skills like communication, emotional regulation, and independence-all while working closely with families. Both jobs have taught me how important patience, structure, and flexibility are when working with kids. I really enjoy creating safe, encouraging environments where kids feel supported& understood. I'm excited to bring that same care and experience into a childcare setting.

Olivia is lovely. I hired her based on her background in special ed to help watch my eight year old autistic son and my seven year old daughter. I also needed someone to keep an eye on their 79 year old Grandma just to make sure she stayed out of trouble. Olivia blended well into our complicated dynamic and her ABA and special ed training was great when working with my son - definitely worth the extra dollars an hour we negotiated. My daughter liked her except the one time Olivia made her share her blanket with her brother, which I appreciated as a teachable moment. She was also good at enforcing the rules with Grandma, which perhaps Grandma didn’t always appreciate but I certainly did. Her background with her own unique family was very helpful in understanding ours. I wish she would move to Orange County and that I had more hours for her. Always on time, respectful, helpful and responsive. Total rockstar A++.
