About Nora

Hi! My name is Nora and I'm currently a junior at UC Berkeley double majoring in Comparative Literature and Media Studies. Last summer I was a Mandarin language teacher at Little Harvard Academy. While it was certainly a challenge learning to manage a classroom full of frenetic kids who'd rather be playing Roblox, I found ways to make class engaging and enriching by customizing our curriculum to their interests. As a former shy kid myself, I understand the importance of meeting children where they are rather than forcing them into a mould that will only cause them more frustration. A child's universe is just as expansive and important as an adult's, and some of my favorite moments are when a child entrusts me with a glimpse into their sacred dreams and wishes. I've long been the free go-to babysitter for friends and family, which has been an honor and a joy, but as an adult and college student I'm hoping to make some money while I'm at it! I look forward to working with you!
