About Noelia

I would describe my personality as dependable, with a strong work ethic. I'm easygoing, approachable, and I enjoy connecting with children by being patient, playful, and helping them feel comfortable while learning. I enjoy tutoring because I had positive experiences with tutors growing up and believe some students benefit from the one-on-one attention teachers can't always provide. I like partnering with parents who want their children to grow and succeed academically in a supportive environment. I began tutoring a student in Spanish in 2009, in Virginia and have continued through Care. com as parents discovered I am bilingual. These experiences encouraged me to pursue teaching certification. My strengths include bilingual English/Spanish support, elementary reading and homework help, and creating structure and confidence in learning. My childcare background helps me build a calm, supportive learning environment. In my spare time, I enjoy karaoke, Zumba, and Pilates.
