I cannot express enough gratitude for the care Nitza provided for my grandmom in her home. Having a trach came with so many challenges, but she handled every aspect with such knowledge, patience, and compassion that it eased so much of our worry. She was consistent and gentle with her trach care—cleaning and changing the inner cannula, performing suctioning when needed, and making sure her airway stayed clear and safe. She managed the ventilator equipment, checked oxygen levels, and made sure every setting was just right for my grandmom’s comfort. She also took care of her nebulizer treatments and monitored her breathing closely, always noticing the smallest changes before they became problems. But beyond the medical tasks, what touched us the most was her kindness and the way she treated my grandmom with dignity and respect. She would sit and talk with her, hold her hand during tough moments, and reassure us as a family when things felt overwhelming. Her presence in our home wasn’t just about medical care—it was about love, patience, and truly treating my grandmom as if she were her own family. We are forever thankful for the peace of mind she gave us and the comfort she gave my grandmom. Finding someone who has both the skill and the heart is rare, and she is truly one of a kind.
