About Nissa

My name is Nissa and I am a 23-year-old from Oregon who just moved to the TC area! I am passionate about working with kids and providing care rooted in creativity, curiosity, and patience. I have always been drawn to youth-related jobs, and my professional experience has been varied: as a young teenager I began babysitting, throughout high school and college I was a camp counselor for kids at sleep-away camp, and I have worked extensively as an outdoor educator for students during the school year. Through my experience working with youth in both residential and educational settings, I have learned how to communicate effectively with school staff and parents, facilitate conflict resolution between students, and navigate risk management. I believe that kids' imaginations facilitate meaningful learning experiences, and I value their curiosity as a way to connect to the world. I am very excited to continue my youth-related work and would love to provide support and care your family!
