About Nisa

For nearly two decades, I have built my career around attentive, compassionate caregiving. My professional background spans education, athletics, and birth work--I am a former 5th grade teacher, high school lacrosse coach, full-spectrum doula, and currently a Licensed Midwife in Oakland. Across all of these roles, calm presence, consistency, and deep respect for individual needs have been central to my work. That same approach extends naturally to animals. I am a lifelong animal lover who grew up caring for golden retrievers, a husky, multiple cats, birds, and small animals. I currently share my life with Rue, my 9-year-old shepherd-bully mix adopted from the San Francisco SPCA. While my pet care experience is personal rather than formal, I am highly attuned to routines, behavior, safety, and trust-building. I am reliable, observant, and genuinely love providing thoughtful, loving care for animals--whether through walks, companionship, or in-home sitting.
