I am new to Denver and looking to pick up babysitting jobs to supplement the work I do in freelance marketing. I have lots of experience with kids - I babysat in college and nannied a 16MO for about a year right after I graduated. Also, my sister had her first of 3 children 7 years ago and they were right down the street from me until I moved here. I cared for them multiple times a week, including overnights, and would often babysit for their friends when needed. I think my strength as a caregiver is I really respect children. I listen to them and I work hard to understand what they are going through, what their needs are, and how I can best help them grow. At 35 I thought my paid babysitting days were behind me, but recently I started babysitting an acquaintance's 6MO and it reignited my passion for working with babies and kids. I'm considering a potential career change to working in early childhood education, and hoping to expand my network of families to babysit for.
