About Nina

I'd describe my personality as outgoing, adaptable, & compassionate. I like working with kids because they teach me so much about life from their different perspectives and backgrounds. They remind me of the values that I hold that we sometimes need to remember to stay true to ourselves. I love seeing them grow whether it's socially, emotionally/mentally, or even in their education. I really value the importance of children talking through their feelings. As human beings, we hold many emotions that can be confusing to navigate and I believe it is important to start recognizing them at a young age to help understand what steps they can take to manage them as they grow up. Children want to be seen, heard, and understood. I'm a firm believer in gentle parenting for children to understand the "why" of things because it teaches them critical thinking and empathy towards others. As a previous RBT, I also have an expertise working with neurodiverse children.
