About Nikolina

Hi! My name is Nikolina, and I'm a certified teacher with six years of classroom experience. I earned my degree in Middle Level Education with endorsements in Math and English as a Second Language (ESL) from Illinois State University, and I'm currently pursuing my Master's in School Counseling. Over the years, I've taught math and STEM and have supported a wide range of learners, including multilingual students. I'm passionate about helping students feel confident and capable, not just in academics, but in how they view themselves as learners. My background in education and counseling allows me to approach tutoring with both academic knowledge and an understanding of students' emotional and developmental needs. I focus on building trust, creating a safe learning environment, and tailoring instruction to fit each child's goals.
