About Nikki

My experience with childcare began with my first job as a babysitter nearly 11 years ago. At 14, I babysat 3 boys ages 5-10 and cared for their 2 dogs everyday after school. I was responsible for ensuring their homework and chores got done, helping with some household work, and keeping them entertained. This usually required lots of outside activities and games. Around 2 years later, I left this job to become a gymnastics coach, which I still do today. As a coach, I gained experience with children ages 2-18 from coaching a range of classes from preschool to competitive team. This job has taught me so much about how/why kids think, act, and behave the way they do, and how to navigate my reactions and responses to them. It has been the most challenging and rewarding job. As a coach, I am also USA Gymnastics certified, which requires passing background checks and completing multiple training courses every year for child safety and protection both in and out of the gym.
