I first began tutoring as a Youth Worker at a Boys and Girls Club during my undergrad at the university. Over the years, I was consistently involved with the development of countless after-school members, who ranged from 1st to 12th grade, in all areas of study. Eventually, I was asked by several parents for private tutoring sessions; not yet being able to charge for my time, given the nature of the B & G Club's mission, I only began to receive that kind of compensation once referrals from appreciative parents branched outside my relationships at the club. With my students, we have focused on test prep (standardized, SAT), foundational study skills, essay writing, reading comprehension, expression and articulation during "out loud" thinking, foreign languages (mostly French and Spanish), the maths from Pre-Algebra to Calculus, the sciences from standard biology to chemistry to physics, the social sciences, and the relationship each of the subjects has with one another.

Nick cleaned for me for several months. He was detail oriented and strove to do an awesome job every time. His personality is kind and gentle, his work ethic is intense and perfect. He isn't afraid to get on his hands and knees and scrub the floor and he prides himself on leaving your bathtub spotless! He was truly awesome and I would still have him twice per month if he hadn't moved away to California. I highly recommend him and I did recommend him to several friends who were also very disappointed when he left!
