About Nicki

Toddler teacher with 4 years of head teaching experience. Currently working on master's in Infant and Family Development, General and Special Education and Early Intervention at Bank Street College of Education. Renewed Pediatric First Aid CPR AED, 11/15/16. Holder of a NY State Driver's License. Lover of animals. When I first begin working with a family my main goal is to establish a relationship that feels safe, nurturing, and fun - when those elements are in place, we can do almost anything together. I cater my time with kiddos to their individual interests, development, schedules, and energy/ mood of that day. I use everyday moments (like feeding and diapering) as well as more planned experiences (like, going to the park or making play-dough) to encourage development in a playful way. I use pictures, videos, texts, emails to share the experiences I have with kiddos so that parents get to be about of what we do and where we go.
