About Nicholas

Hello! My name is Nicholas, I am 23 years old, and I am the brother of a beautiful little girl named K. K was born with Down Syndrome, a heart defect, Celiac, a thyroid problem, and accompanying speech/behavioral/mobility challenges. Around the age of 7, shortly after our father passed away, K was additionally diagnosed with Autism, ODD, and ADHD. All of that being said, I have learned to be a very patient, understanding, and loving caregiver when watching my little sister. I understand that not ever kid reacts the same way to different situations, and I have become quite good at figuring out what works for different kids. K has taught me to be very creative when trying to watch a kid who may be a bit excited or agitated.
