About Nia

Hi my name is Nia! I am a learning centered care provider looking to assist families in the Capitol Hill area. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and taught Kindergarten for a year at a local DC elementary school. I have been a nanny for one family. In that position, I assisted their 3-year-old with early reading, math, and writing skills and assisted their 7-year-old with their transition to 1st grade. I have had numerous babysitting roles and even worked at The Little Gym for many years. My focus will be on fostering space for learning, creativity, and fun while prioritizing safety and growth! I'm looking for weekday and occasional weekend positions. I am happy to fill in for a sick or traveling nanny, tutor, or provide other short term care. I am not looking for a full time position but enjoy working with and helping educate children part time! In my free time I enjoy baking, reading, and spending time with my cat.
