I understand this disease affects not only client but loved ones as well. So I make sure to not make my care CLOCK BASED but PERSON CENTERED. I left working in facilities because I felt as if I had to beat the clock. I didn't get a chance to get to know my patients and provided that personal care that's promised. Natasha has worked as a caregiver/companion for my mom, who has dementia, for three years. Dementia is challenging but Natasha did an amazing job caring for my mom. As her disease progressed, Natasha’s responsibilities expanded from companion to caregiver when she became responsible for assisting with bathing, dressing, preparing and feeding meals and administering medications, etc. In addition to performing the standard caregiving tasks, she also took the time to learn my mom’s interests, likes, dislikes, needs, etc to make each day a positive experience for her. Overall, we always found Natasha to be very caring, dependable and professional. I am happy to recommend Natasha as a caregiver.
